Bush Almost Seemed Gleeful…

It didn’t take long for the amnesty push to begin. At his first post-election news conference the day after Republicans had handed Democrats the keys to Capitol Hill, President Bush seemed cheerily optimistic about the “good chance” he now has to pass the so-called “comprehensive” amnesty bill.

 

Here’s what the President said.

“I think we have a good chance [at passing the amnesty bill]…. It's an important issue and I hope we can get something done on it. I meant to put that in my list of things that we need to get done.”
