About the Petition:
Since the war against terror began, anti-war radicals like MoveOn.org, Cindy Sheehan and others have been undermining and disrespecting the efforts of our troops. Anti-war marches in Washington where many hoisted obscene anti-war banners, mocking military memorials in plain site of family members and soldiers, holding mock funerals outside Veteran’s Hospitals as our wounded soldiers arrive for care have become commonplace.

Grassfire has tirelessly countered the ultra-liberal, anti-war attacks. We’ve squared off against the likes of Cindy Sheehan, Michael Moore and elected leaders whose negative rhetoric only fans the enemy fires.

To demonstrate our complete support for our troops, Grassfire is launching this national petition to rally at least 100,000 citizens over the next 60 days who support our troops—both in the field and at home. Our goal with this petition is to mobilize tens of thousands of citizens who are ready to counter these attacks AS THEY HAPPEN in a profound show of support. We also want to demonstrate our support for them as they return home from the war in anyway we can.

The Petition States:

As a patriotic American, I am signing this petition to publicly state my strong support for our U.S. military—both in the field and at home.

In the Field: I stand with our men and women who are fighting to defend our nation and our values overseas. I strongly oppose the efforts by some to harshly criticize and undermine our military engaged in the field. These attacks on our military only heighten the danger that our fighting forces face on a daily basis.

At Home: I stand with our men and women in the military to ensure that they and their families receive the support and respect they deserve here at home. I strongly oppose the efforts of some to demean, attack and criticize our service personnel and pledge to do what I can to ensure they are treated fairly and respectfully. Furthermore, I support legislative efforts to improve the level of support for ALL military (and their families), especially those killed or injured while in action.
